Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains what personal data BolivianPress collects, why, and what rights you have.

1. Who is responsible

BolivianPress, Calle Jose Ramon Hurtado 3235. Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Contact: info@bolivian.press.

2. Data we collect

  • Account: name, email, password (stored encrypted, never in plain text), language and, optionally, a profile photo.
  • Creators: ID or tax number, department and city, phone, presentation text and payout details (PayPal email or bank account).
  • Outlets: outlet name, type, country, city, phone, website, tax ID and job title.
  • Transactions: orders, amounts, licenses issued and payment receipts you upload.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser, dates of downloads, security and audit records.
  • Messages you send us through the contact form, and the emails the Platform sends you.

3. What we use it for

  • To create and verify accounts, and to run the marketplace, licenses and downloads.
  • To process payments, refunds and payouts to creators.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse and prohibited content, and to keep the Platform secure.
  • To answer you and send service messages (verification, receipts, notices).
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Who we share it with

  • Payment processors (PayPal) to process payments.
  • Cloudflare, to verify that forms are filled in by people (Turnstile).
  • Our hosting and email providers, who process data on our behalf.
  • Other users, only what is needed for the service: outlets see the creator’s name or organization, photo and presentation next to the content; license verification shows the licensee, content and license to whoever holds the license number and code.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

5. International transfers

Some providers (such as PayPal or Cloudflare) operate in other countries, so your data may be processed outside Bolivia under their own security conditions.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active and, afterwards, for the time needed to meet legal, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations. Security, audit and download records are kept for the period needed to protect the Platform and the rights of the parties.

7. Security

We use encrypted passwords, HTTPS, restricted access, original files stored outside public access and temporary download links. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.

8. Cookies

We only use essential cookies: session, language preference and form security. Cloudflare Turnstile may use technologies to tell people from bots. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

9. Your rights

You can access and correct your data from “My profile” (except your email, which you can ask us to change). You can also ask us to delete your data, to stop processing it, or to explain how it is used, to the extent the law allows. Some data must be kept for legal obligations.

To exercise your rights, write to info@bolivian.press. You may also resort to the Privacy Protection Action provided for in the Bolivian Constitution.

10. Minors

The Platform is not intended for people under 18 years of age.

11. Changes

We may update this policy; we will announce relevant changes on the Platform or by email.
